Dental Crowns

Dental crowns are a great treatment option for multiple scenarios where you may want to protect your teeth or perhaps change the shape and look of them or both. They are tooth shaped caps made in a lab that go over your tooth and cemented into place. Very common times a crown may be recommended are with root canal treated teeth, teeth that are heavily damaged, teeth that have been fixed multiple times, areas that are really worn down by the bite and even to improve the esthetics or shade of one or multiple teeth together. 

Dental crowns come in multiple types of material and picked for lots of different needs and reasons. One of the most common types are all white zirconia crowns. These are strong esthetic crowns that can be used in many areas of the mouth. Gold crowns still exist! They are fantastic options for where heavy forces are expected like in the back teeth, they are strong and long lasting and more gentle to the opposing tooth.
